Recuperem l'Aeroclub

Members first.

Renewal is healthy for any institution. We come to add, not to divide: clear proposals, transparency and respect for the people, knowledge and projects that create value for the Aeroclub.

Starting point

What we are and want to preserve

  • A great club, with almost a century of history.
  • A community of more than a thousand members and many hours of flying.
  • A professional pilot-training school.

What we want to improve

  • More collegial and transparent governance.
  • More and better information to decide wisely.
  • Coordination across areas, activities and delegations.
  • Better use of the resources we already have.
  • More visible, tangible value for members.

Renewing the way we govern is not about breaking anything. It is about reinforcing what works and correcting what has been left without clear objectives.

The programme

One clear objective and six lines of work to make it happen.

Main objective

Revitalise the Aeroclub, so that being a member means flying better, with better and more competitive services.

01

Revitalise the Aeroclub

  • Everything must answer one fundamental question: “How does this benefit the members of the Aeroclub?”
  • We will review fees to make them more competitive and design a new offering of services and benefits for members.
  • We will strengthen community life and the training offer.
02

A school serving the club

  • We will make the school a benchmark at the service of the Aeroclub, with a sustainable balance between school and club.
  • A school that builds community, to secure the future of the Aeroclub.
03

Every discipline

  • We will maintain and strengthen all of the Aeroclub’s flying disciplines: helicopters, gliding, microlights and more.
  • We will drive the revitalisation of the La Cerdanya airfield, with a long-term vision and an essential positioning plan.
04

Investment plan

  • We will establish a transparent investment plan, adapted to members’ needs and generating value to reinvest: fleet, facilities and services that members know, can follow and can assess.
  • We will continue the commercial negotiations with Aena in Sabadell.
05

Efficient management

  • We will ensure economically sound management that allows reinvestment in members, community life and better services.
  • We will update the management model and streamline processes for better service and greater efficiency.
  • We will set objectives that members can follow.
06

Securing continuity

  • We will build community and create aviators to secure generational renewal, with a designed succession plan.
  • We will review the Statutes and propose updates to the General Assembly of Members.

Our transparency commitment

Trust is built on information. Without pointing fingers, and with full respect for the work done, we make a public, scheduled and verifiable commitment: members will have all the information on the table.

  1. 1

    Governing the present rigorously

From day one, full dedication to the matters that cannot wait: member services, the negotiations with Aena, the future of the La Cerdanya airfield, the investment and fleet plan, the continuity of the flight school and the management of the staff.

  2. 2

    A comprehensive institutional due diligence

We will commission an independent, external review of the organisation’s economic, asset, legal, operational and governance situation, with no area excluded.

  3. 3

    All reports within eight months

We set ourselves a maximum of eight months from 11 July to have all the reports, so that any decision can be explained and, where appropriate, fully justified before the members.

  4. 4

    An Extraordinary General Assembly

We will convene it with only two items on the agenda: the public presentation of the complete results of the review, and a members’ vote of confidence in the Board.

  5. 5

The decision always belongs to the members

If we do not obtain the members’ confidence, we will immediately call new elections. With all the information on the table, you will decide the future of the Aeroclub.

Govern the present responsibly. Shed light on the past. And let you, the members, decide the future of the Aeroclub.
